Salary: £27,967 – £31,553 pa Contract: Permanent Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Location: Ealing Do you want to work in a role where you will support an end to rough sleeping? Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently. Working as an Outreach Worker you are involved in making contact with people who are sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management to support individuals to make the move away from the streets. Outreach Workers also work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies.
We are looking for highly motivated people who share our ambition. Ideally you will have:
• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment
• Experience in dealing with rough sleepers with multiple needs and the ability to work with challenging behaviour
• Great communication skills and experience of working effectively with others
• Some understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services
• The ability to empower individuals to make positive changes and a willingness to develop these valuable skills Due to Ealing’s demographics and geography, language skills in Polish would be a distinct advantage, as would a valid driving license. However, this is not essential. Above all we are looking for inspirational, committed individuals who have a genuine desire to support people to rebuild their lives. What we offer
